Som Tum is an extremely popular dish of Northeastern Thai cuisine. It is a healthy salad made from shredded unripe or green papaya mixed with traditional basic dressing. This refreshing dish combines the five main tastes of the local cuisine: sour lime juice, hot chili pepper, sweet palm sugar, salty and savory fish sauce. It is usually eaten with sticky rice by dipping a small ball of sticky rice into Som Tum dressing. There are different types of variety of Som Tum available, some of which can make your eyes water while your tongue begs for more into fiery, crisp and firm green papaya. We are offering the mildest version, called Som Tum Thai.

Som Tum is typically served alone or with Thai sticky rice.
